Hi Guys,
I know this question has been asked a few times. But I've read conflicting advice etc. so just wanted to be sure.
In short, I have retail HP on my machine currently which I want to upgrade (via clean install) to Pro via an OEM disk. I then want to install HP on my laptop which is currently still on XP so that will need a clean install too.
My question is how do I do this so that the license of HP is accepted on my Laptop as I have already used it on my PC, does it need deactivating in some way (I've read before some say yes & some say no), and how? Or is there something else that needs to be done?
Many Thanks all

Your retail copy should activate fine, I think you'd only run into problems if that key was activated many times. And if you can't activate online you can just do it over the phone.

Ok, so I don't have to do anything special before installing Pro? Just boot from the DVD and install over my current HP installation?
Thanks again
