Got a new board today to try my 1055t in after I thought my old board had died. Its a Msi 790gx g65. Everything is connected but I still get no post. There is 5 blue leds at the top of the board but only the first two are lit and the third is flashing. Any ideas?

Just double checking some things, all power connections connected including 4 or 8 pin for cpu power. Try single stick of memory and perhaps try a CMOS reset if not already done so.
 
Yeah tried all that. Tried with no memory and speaker connected up and get no beeps.

Oh there is only four leds not five. If I take the cpu out and turn it on all the leds light up.
 
Does the mb have the latest bios as looking on the msi website support for that cpu was only added from bios version 7576v41?
 
I do not know which bios is on as I can not get it to post. Just looking now for a cheap cpu locally so I can try that.
