Dead 8800GT?

Its been fine since I got it 3 weeks ago and I use rivatuner to run the fan higher when in 3d games etc. Whats just happened is my screen went pink then crashed instantly in wow and my pc turned off. Wouldnt reboot so I took my gcard out and now reseated it and everything is bright green. Currently sat on the windows desktop with a bright green screen lol.

RMA time?

Its a jetway 8800GT which I bought from OCUK, my mother binned the box, would that matter?

Very odd, just put it in the other DVI on the back and the screen looks normal again. Can a faulty DVI crash a PC? :S

Sounds like it crashed, thats fair enough, but you didnt put the cable back in correctly.

I did though, even got a spare dvi cable and it does the same thing oO. Is it possible to get a feedback through a DVI?

its ****** alright, looks like ive got dodgy memory on it as ive just had the tell tail signs of blocks on the screen.

Not even 3 weeks old! grrrr

If its a straight replacement you should be able to RMA it in a plain brown box aslong as its properly packed... tho don't take my word for it.

Wonder if theres any truth to that stuff about the memory interface being dodgy at higher frequencies........

Dont replace it get a refund and wait for a new card.
