Dead Ballistix??

Got a set of Ballistix Tracer 5300 CL3, wont boot at 667MHz 3-3-3-12 2.2V, is it faulty? if i set the timings to auto it boots fine, at 5-5-5-15

Whats wrong, is there any conflict with the P35 chipset or P5k-E ?

Try testing it with memtest, though the answers probably just yes.

Crucial Ballistix POS Tbh... you're better off getting GeIL Ultra CAS 4 which is on this week special offer....

Not had much joy recently with memory... bought 3 (2x OCZ, 1x g.skills) sets with 1 dodgy stick in each set

seems like you need to buy 2 sets to get one complete working set... finally bought a couple of sets of corsair value RAM to tide me over while RMAing the rest and for a miracle they are error free.
