My motherboard is dead so im going to RMA that ASAP but im thinking of selling up and grabbings a 13/14600kf, im on a 7700x right now is it worth it?

all i do is game, i have a second system(10400f) so the RMA could take a few months and i dont cear.
but is it worth it or do i just stay as i am.

only asking with black friday coming and all that, after selling my parts off i could brake even ish.

yer the upgrade options in the future as better with AMD, im not in a rush for a new system i have one i can use. i was just exploring options as its going to be in bits anyway.
my board will be an direct AsRock RMA i dont know what there like time wise.

i just wanted an excuse to play if im honest,

Unfortunate, I love Asrock boards had a couple and been solid even the budget board.

Which board you thinking of ?

Guess you're sell the Asrock.

i got the asrock as ive never had a bad board from them. i was trying to OC the CPU and ram for the first time since getting the set up so i was user error not the board.
i'd probble throw it on the MM

TBF not looked yet, id probbly get a Z board so its a little better for the 8XXX chips

What are you both talking about?

ASrock have made really bad boards before.

Their boards were reviewed by HU and found to be really bad. ASRock then blacklisted HU and refused to send them any review samples (ASRock unblacklisted them after community backlash)

In a recent video by HU, it appears that ASrock have listened but that’s not the point, the point is is that they can and have make poor products

The Taichi is usually very well reviewed and always sent out by ASRock to reviewers but that’s only because it’s expensive and it’s their flagship model so they make sure it’s great so that they get a good rep.

Stop saying brand X is great/bad. It isn’t the case and almost all brands have a mixed bag of products with some being fantastic and others being poor.

I’ve had a Z77 AsRock board before that throttled heavily with an i7 3770 but that doesn’t mean that all Z77 motherboards by them are rubbish.

They have all made bad board, all I said is I’ve not have a bad one. I have have a few asus that have been very bad and now people pay £800 for there boards

Hahah, I’ve just worked out who you was referring to when says HU… I YouTuber hahaha or well if a youtuber says there bad we better all swerve them.
I mean HU have never been caught favouring one brand over another have they… or wait yes they have

im not looking to burn money, i thoiught i could make the change for a very little outlay, TBF i just wanted to play with the new intel but i will stay as i am,
if i was to buy a new AMD chip it would be next gen
Its up to you really, as said there isn't much difference, but if you really want to try intel, then now would be the time to do it.
But the sensible option would be to RMA your board.
