After many years of service it seems my 2900XT is about to bite the dust!
Image corruption (random lines) on bios/post screens, yet Windows vga driver seems to work without issue, but you cant do much with that. as soon as ati driver is instaled either lines across or bsod. To me this says memory errors and there isnt usualy a way to come back from that.
Ive tried flashing a lower clocked 2900pro bios but no change. So im going to attempt to clean it up as its well out of warrenty but im not expecting miracles
There is some liquid residue on the memory chips. not really sure what that is as i dont think thermal pads would do this and the memory labels have melted away !
