Hi all,

Spent all day trying to find an answer this.

I have a 3090 that has a failed capacitor 5ka38 16vh 270uf this took out a fuse that I'm looking to source. I believe it's size is smd 3212 and is marked with a 20. Question is what would the voltage rating be?

I've only found fuses at 32 or 125 volts, unsure which one I need.

Regards

Carl

Thanks, was just in that thread, I'll give it a go.

The maximum voltage that PC PSU's output is 12V so 32V should be fine I would think. The current rating is more important for a fuse, too small and it will fail in normal operation, too high and it won't provide any protection.

Thanks for replying. I had the same thought but went down a rabbit hole today of how everything on a GPU works. Just couldn't find a definitive answer.

This guy has a Discord, you could try asking in there.

So after some more geeking you are correct, apparently voltage doesn't matter. A 32v 20A fuse will still blow if 12v 20A goes through it, 20A is 20A.
