Dead GPU

My GTX 660Ti has died.
Out of warranty.

Looking for a cheap replacement and i'm a bit out of touch with modern GPUs.

Advice appreciated.

Personally, i wouldn't spend that much on a 128bit card.

The above question is relevant, particularly your budget.

Might be worth a look at the MM as well.
 
Unless you have a reason not to get AMD I'd look around for a 380x or 380. For single card gaming AMD drivers are as good as Nvidia drivers so there's no reason for that to be an issue.

I'd add the extra and get something with 4gb's from this page,

There's a 4gb 380x for 170 and it includes the Ashes of the Singularity game.

Personally I'd push for a 380x as you will have a decent card that will be fine for 1080p gaming for several years. A 380 will as well and is not much slower just make sure to get a 4gb model if you did choose AMD.

Yeh, 780 or 780Ti would be my pick second hand, as indeed it was last year, when luckily I got a 780Ti from the MM for a Tenner more than the OP's budget.

Has been and still is, a terrific card at my 1080p rez.

If I was a logical man I would still be using a 780 at 1440p. It was great for witcher 3 and gta v. Not max settings but they still looked amazing. Most games do nowadays at medium and high settings.

As it happens I got an OG titan which is almost identical performance and am not planning an upgrade soon.
