Had a few issues with corruption when playing Star Trek Online, but it was only temporary and a restart fixed it (it locked up my system entirely- sometimes there was a BSOD, sometimes it would restart itself). Following this though, other games inc MW2 ran fine with no issues.

Another attempt at STO caused this again and since then there's been no coming back from it.

Personally, I'm blaming STO for killing my graphics card (8800GT 512mb OC). just wanted to check it actually looks like a GPU issue rather than anything else.

On another subject- what would be a good replacement? £150 absolute max, rig is in my signature.

Don't have the luxury of waiting :-( I guess 5770 wins, gonna be a marked improvement over the 8800 at any rate I would imagine?

Looks like a dead card to me, whats the temps like is the fan full of dust?

have you tried underclocking it?

have you tried another graphics card?

i had the same issue and when i put in my spare graphics card it was still goosed. turned out to be my psu, it was the 3.3v rail, was running at like 2.8. go check in your bios and see what its running at

That's good advice, I'll have a look, though it's less than a year old so I doubt it!

Edit: Everything looks ok in my BIOS; 3.3v = 3.264; 5v = 5.016; 12v= 12.264
