Dead GTX 980 :(

Bought two Inno3D reference GTX 980s from OCUK just under 3 weeks ago, with the intention of running them in SLI in my new build. Until all the parts for my new build have arrived I'm running just the one in my current machine (i5 Ivy / Z77).

All fine until tonight when my PC crashed and when rebooting the motherboard gives 1 long beep and 3 short beeps (Graphics card error). Reseat it, no luck :( Replace it with the other one I had ready to SLI, all working fine....

So it looks like I've got a dead card on my hands - anyone experienced this with the latest 9XX cards, and if anyone has RMA'd graphics cards back to OcUK before how long did it take till you received a replacement?

Thanks in advance!

[edit : For what it's worth the card was never overclocked and temps seemed fine, everything in this PC has been running at stock (strange coming from someone who posts on here I know :p)]

Looks like he has a NZXT Hale90 750W (it's in his first post in the spec me a £1200 pc thread dated 2nd October) which is a Superflower unit with 744w on the 12v rail. That is more than enough for a Sli 980 setup let alone a single card.

They're supposed to be good units, but it depends on how long he's had it.

@OP: Can you confirm its one card which is failing not both? You said you'd bought 2, do they have the same behaviour?

I do indeed have a NZXT Hale90 750W, had it for just over two years with absolutely no problems.

Only the one card had failed, the other is running fine (I've not had them running in SLI yet)
