Dead Island Patch

Dead Island has been running fine for me since buying it a few weeks ago despite a shed load of issues reported.

I'm all set tonight for a blast (it's been a long week) but since this patch which has just happened via Steam it simply won't boot.

I'm a tad miffed tbh...

Can anyone shed any light?

fault module name "MSVCR90.dll". Maybe reinstall the game I guess...

Same thing just happend to me, quick look on the Steam forums and it seems like they broke it for everyone!

New patch? when did this arrive have not been on dead island for a while, have you tried resting steam & running it as administrator?

No joy running under admin. Also tried the "Dead Island Helper" tool.

I don't understand developers some times why not they test you content better before releasing it?! I did not have any problems with the game before, then this crap comes along....

Another update (and fix I guess) and we are running.

Looking forward to a couple of hours of the amazing game and environment these guys created.
