They call it a sequel when all it seems to be is Dead Island 1.5
It looks and plays exactly like the first, but maybe thats what they were aiming for?
Definately gonna be a bargain basement sale for me when its £3 on steam.
Dg, I think your opinion has learnt to be disregarded by most. It's just instaneg. Always. I would bet my life on the fact you are just going by the reviews, rather than having actually played it yourself.
For those who played and enjoyed the first, like myself, it's just more of the same. Mindless zombie slaying fun. Great in co op too.
Managed to pick up the steam cd key from simply games from £17.99, definitely worth it at that price.
Honestly did anyone expect it to be any different gameplay wise from the original?, it was a bit of a cult hit after all.
Im personally enjoying it, the little differences there are, such as the weapons not breaking after a couple of swings, and more firearms etc, have made it much better imo.
Plus as i have said before the island looks stunning, and with a bit of SFX, it looks even better.
Liked the first one, although never got to complete it because of the Church bug I will pick this up, not sure when though, a lot worse games out there.
I must be the only one on here, who loves this game. I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy, after playing the first game over and over with each character and with the added DLC.
So far, it is very similar to the original game, but it has some nice extra touches and the storyline is just as good.
First one was OK. I found it very repetitive. Kick zombie down, beat to death. Repeat.
I did complete it single player, perhaps co-op was were the real fun was.
I'll probably pick up RT when it's much cheaper as the price steam was charging seemed ridiculous.
What's a steam free weekend all games free will check it out I found playing Dead Island very repetitive seems to just drive around killing zombies get bored after a short while playing it.
Edit
I see its already £11.89 will wait till its £5 though going to download it now.
