Dead Island? Should I buy it!

Hey guys

I love anything to do with Zombies, espeically films etc.

Dead island seems good, but I'm not sure if I will enjoy it.

My fave games are RPG games, like Skyrim, Borderlands etc.

I have played Rising Dead 2 on the PS3 and it was a bit crap, and I have played Left for dead 1 and 2 on PC which were ok, but not brill.

Is Dead Island better? Or should I just carry on with Skyrim.

I have to agree it is a great little game. Looks nice as well imo, any zombie fan should have this. Can't say the same for DR2

I think its a fantastic game, it had quite a few issues when it first came out but ive been slowly playing through it in coop with some friends and its great fun. If you have some people to play through it with it would be worth getting i think.

Its a really good game, superb visual effects and it does have you on your toes a fair bit at the start.

It can get a bit tiresome on your own so its best to play with people. If you don't have anyone to play with probably best to skip it.

The game does seem like its missing something though. It does start to feel very repetitive until you start seeing more types of zombies so you actually have to change up how you approach some situations. The UI is horrible sadly. They made no effort at all to try and make it more usable for Keyboard/Mouse and in some places they didn't even bother to change the console control marks.

I've only played a little bit so far but it's great fun. I love the panic that sets in when all of your weapons break and you try to fist fight your way through a small horde of zombies

I played it, finished it and uninstalled it. Never played it again and most likely won't. That trailer made it look so awesome....oh well.

Love the game but stopped playing it as for some reason got motion sickness from all the swaying or whatever you call it lol but looked good and it has zombies.

I haven't played it though I have seen reviews and game play footage. I may pick it up when it's cheap during a sale; maybe a bit too much reliance on melee weapons for my liking. As above, probably quite good fun with others rather than on your own.
