Dead Island updated not working?

Game has been fine up untill now, 20mb update downloaded off steam and now the game wont run!

What the hell is going on with this game why can they just leave it alone! Was working absolutly fine before this. Running windows 7

For crying out loud!

- crashes on startup
for english change Locale("EN") to Locale("en") in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dead island\DI\Data\game.ini" otherwise change the locale from uppercase to lowercase and it should work!

change log for now:

kicking now uses stimina
blood bath arena dlc added
new weapon mods added
increased max level from 50-60
crates now open instantly
mouse moves more naturally between game menu items
coop now supports enemy level balancing

Surely this must be for the Devs to fix? I dont fancy messing around with this game, its their problem they should sort it.

As for the DLC, typical that its for pre-purchases, i wouldnt waste my money on it to be honest. Im gald i waited a bit before buying this cack.

Kick uses stamina? :S the whole point of it is to get you out of a bind, one of the loading tips even says it doesn't use stamina so you can use it to get away. Not much good now, cant fight because you don't have any stamina, and now you can't kick to create some space.

Rest of the changes look fair enough though.
 
Mine worked the other day (after they re-patched the patch that broke it) i guess they have done it again?

It's not nice to have to tweak a game you paid for just so it will run, but the fix could be as simple as editing a txt file... surely worth the effort to try
 
Im going to wait a bit i think hopefully they will sort it quickly. Its just if i edit it, and then they fix it, i cant help but think it could cause problems if you get me?
