Bought my rig from OCUK a few years ago now been great for the 2 years ive owned it.

Specs are as follows
Intel Q6600 @ 3.3 GHZ air
Corsair TX 650W PSU
ABIT IP35 Pro Motherboard
Corsair XMS2-8500 Dominator 1066MHZ DDR2 RAM 4x1GB
ATI Radeon 5850 replaced from a 9800gtx a few months ago bought from OC UK.

Been having a few problems with my board these past few weeks first up it refused to boot with 4gb of ram installed 3gb fine, faulty stick perhaps? now it wont boot at all.

The motherboard manual gives a list of error codes and the number reported tells me its having issues with the gpu.
tried my gpu and both pci-e slots and nothing.

Dont know whether to think my 2 year old board is dead or whether I should RMA my few months old 5850.

Im on a tight budget so if a new board is needed any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks, connor :(

Unfortunately I do not have any old parts around, I have tried all sticks of RAM in the main slot and nothing, also done a full CMOS reset and nothing, psu is fine and powering all components including fans there is no beeps when booting, simply a black screen. The post code from the motherboard reports C1>C2>26 which tells me to reseat the GPU or try a new GPU, very odd since it was working absolutely fine till I decided to fit a new sound card, and yes ive tried booting without the sound card.

Also thanks for a warm welcome to the forum and quick replies.

One stick of RAM is definitely dead so I have removed that from my system and got an RMA from Corsair but the pc still wont boot with the gpu installed, removing the gpu lets the post code go further. I ordered a cheap gigabyte 775 from oc uk just to try it out also. Is it possible to return the motherboard if this component is not at fault?
