Hey all. Last September I purchased 2x24" Dell s2409W monitors from the good folks at OCUK. I run them as a pair. But yesterday morning one didn't turn on.

To be more specific the power light (on the power button) just flashes on and off constantly and the power button, or other buttons do nothing.

It's definetely not a power surge issue, I always turn them off at night.
I did some googling that seemed to suggest these dell monitors had dodgy power buttons.
I have tried a combination of inputs (DVI, VGA, HDMI).

Can anyone offer some advice on how to resolve this issue? I know OCUK will help me since I am still under warranty, if not I have 3 years with Dell anyway.

any advice? I have tried yelling at it and different power cables in different mains sockets/power strips.

Have you swapped the ports over on your graphics card? Could be a graphics card issue so always best to check.

GFX card is fine on both ports. Other monitor runs great. The vga port is connect to a G5 mac the HDMI port is for an xbox360. It's definetely a monitor issue not an input issue.

@TheRedZealot no, I might skip that and go straight to water boarding.

Dell replaced it. Phoned last monday, they swapped it out tuesday. All done!

As a future searchable note to anyone having issues with Dell hardware bought from OCUK. Make sure you have the box! On it is OCUK's order number from Dell so you can find the goods on their system to book it in for repair/replacement.
