So next i pulled out my current rig and tried the new power supply on my old comp to check it, motherboard light came on fine so then i tried my old PSU on the new mobo and nothing, no little green led any suggestions or should i start writing my email requesting an RMA??

A mate of mine had the same problem with the same motherboard, he's RMA'd it.

He got this board with a hiper PSU, and an x1900 XT, on powering on the LED's lit up fine on the board, but that was it, all he got was a quick jerk of the CPU fan, so he thought it may have been the hiper, so he tried it on hls old board, but it worked fine, he also tried his x1900 on his old board to to make sure that worked, and indeed it did, so he tried his old PSU on the new board, same thing, quick jerk of the fan, LED's lit, so he tried his old PSU on his old board with the x1900, worked fine, so the board was a DOA.

Wonder if it could be a faulty batch.

Well, i figured it out and i cant frickin believe what it was! stupidest mistake EVER!!! i started pulling it apart last night to rebuild it on a wood surface and i took out graphics card and sounds card, i started pulling off the connectors for the front panel firewire and usb and after i had pulled them off i tried it one more time and she lit up like a christmass tree ... i had put the usb connectors on the wrong way around!!! how freakin stupid am i!??! just a momentary lapse of concentration and hours of hassle and worry lol let this be a lesson to ye all :D thanks for all the suggestions anyway. Currently installing drivers and what not :D
