Windows starts fine then it just goes as shown in the links above after few seconds. Images start to flash and the PC locks and restarts. When i install my old ATI card everything works perfect...

Just seeing if anyway i could test to see whats wrong with the card or just send the thing back??

Spec
i5 2500k, Asus p67 PRO, Corsair 4x 8gb Corsair Vengeance and ax1200.

Thanks.

Looks like an RMA job.. Could try to uninstall the drivers, then put in new card and see what happens, but yea, looks like it's dead/dying

Have the Frozr III's got dual-bios? If they do you could flip the little switch and try the second bios to see if that's any better. Otherwise it looks like an RMA job as said above.

Ty for the reply's, just uninstalled 11.10 preview 3 drivers and did driver sweeper. Looks good so far..

Going test card in heaven to see how it does.

So, no artifacts? Which drivers did you install instead of the preview ones?

Installed the previews again and no artifacts since then. Been playing BF3 for past few hours and still good.

Think its just Hiccup with the change from my old 5770 to 6950 and some how got fixed with driver clean? But will see how it goes

What are temps like on it? Well if it works fine now, then at least you saved on an RMA ;)

Hi Brutus. It's solely a driver issue. I'll bet you had a 5 series Ati card in previously. Let me try and find the solution that James (Terrier_Jimlad) posted.

The one I sold to him had the same issue, as did a brand new replacement card. I've got it back now, and need to find the post in which he sorted it, so that I can do the same thing.

Card still ticking on, temps wise idle is 40 with load of 60-70. Keeping my eyes on the card but for now its looking alright and guess only time will tell.

And yes was straight change from 5 series to the 6950 which gave the artifacts.
