Didn't realise this was out.

I'm hoping this made the portable conversion more intact that SF did.

Yeah, came through my post last Thursday. Most of the characters are locked, haven't got a clue how to unlock them. Seems difficult to play with the D pad compared to SF4 and online isn't the best compared to SF4 either.

I might pick this up, I've only got Splinter Cell, I was waiting for Zelda though the games I'm really looking forward to are Resident Evil Revelations and MGS3.

Play through chronicle mode to unlock a lot, also arcade helps but that's mostly costumes. Don't forget to connect to the net for the next week or so to get more cossies as well.

I'd argue it's a lot more intact than SF4, it's really like DOA2 for the xbox in the palm of your hands! Seeing it in action with the 3d off at 60fps is very impressive! All moves are there, all modes etc. It's pretty good and largely fixes the story.....if that means anything.

I'd actually say it's easier to play with the d-pad than SF4 as it doesn't require the same dexterity with directional commands.

DOA is a game that would definitely be well suited to the 3DS controls on paper... unless you were looking to accurately do izuna drops (luckily just spamming 360s works fine)

Thanks for the tip, I was going through Arcade mode but wasn’t unlocking much. Started Chronicle Mode last night, will continue it during the week and see what else I can unlock.
Is it me or does knocking your opponent off the edge takes more energy compared to the previous DOA games?

Yeah I think it does seem like more damage than it used to.

I was looking for to this coming out for 3ds, unfortuneatly I didnt end up getting one and probably wont for a while, but I might nag my brother to get it!
