Built a system from OCUK back in November with the following parts

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 '80 Plus' Power Supply (CMPSU-600CXUKV2)

Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)

===========
In addition I have 3x1TB Seagates in Raid5 and 2x LiteON Media drives and a Nvidia GT430 GFX card

Heres what happened...The PC has been working like a dream since I first put it together but now all of a sudden the monitors stopped coming on.

I power it on, the fans spin up I can hear the hard drives spinning up and after the initial POST get a solid status light with the odd blink once in a while.

Inside the case the only thing that comes on initially is the Phase LED for about a minute and then comes off.

Any suggestions pleeeease?! I cant afford this PC to be Dead for good!

I just bought this graphic card recently as second hand and its been working well could it be gone?

The motherboard has a built in HDMI port i tried linking it to the tv but no luck.

did you remove the graphic card when you tested with onboard graphics?
removed mb battery for 30mins to fully clear cmos? beware though as this will reset the bios and you will lose your oc/bios settings

Well, it sounds like it's booting at least, which leans towards your gfx card. As suggested, remove the gfx card and try the onboard, reset your bios, and report back.

thanks guys, actually come to think of it when I tested the HDMI I did not remove the GFX card, the things you forget in panic lol. I will test it now and get back!

Thanks fellas you were both right. Just did a test and it is indeed the graphic card. as soon as I removed it HDMI link came straight on. Then i thought id try to put it back in again and test. When I connected everything as it was initially the system came on as normal.

What would cause the GFX card to fail like this and then come back to life?

could this be detrimental to the rest of the components?

could just be a detection bug with your graphic card,or it wasnt seated properly in the mb? idk but it should be fine and wont hurt any other components

you have to remove the graphic card so that the mb detects and enables onboard graphics ect, atleast its working now
