help !!! im close to tears here....
Got home from work turned on PC and nowt happened.... not even a beep
checked inside and mobo had a power LED on, tryed wiggling wires still nothing.
pc spec is;
DFI lanparty nf4 ultra D
AMD 3700 san d
7800GT gfx
450W antec psu
and all the other stuff as per usuall....
So i removed all the stuff outta tower and just tryed mobo, cpu/hsink, mem + hdd
still same thing, dead
so i decided to test psu by crossing the green + black wires on main socket (what goes to mobo) and psu fired up, i got multimeter on it and all seemed fine with psu.
so am i right in thinking that the mobo is fryed or could the cpu cause same problem.
the mobo was new march this yr as was mem cpu + gfx.
now i know i could RMA the mobo, but this pc was payed for by my insurance company, and they have the reciept for the good, and there telling me it could take upto a month for em to get reciept to me, as its been archived.
So i'll just buy a cheap'ish mobo to tide me over, but dont wanna waste £££ if it isnt mobo whats prob
