Dead pixel on my iPhone 5.

Hello,

I've over night developed a dead pixel on my iphone 5 along the right hand side, and the phone has been having strange crashes this morning (phone screen becomes unresponsive and phone unresponsive for 20 seconds) and restarts.

Anyone had either of these problems & I'm going to nip in to the Apple store tomorrow hopefully to get a replacement.

It started last night and was unresponsive, they would be back to normal after numerous restarts (seeming on it's own) and then it would crash to unresponsive screen again, I restored it last night and then it started happening again this morning.

It's been ok ~ for most of the day, but now I've got a dead pixel, are Apple likely to offer me a replacement?

iPhone completely died this morning, just lots of funny coloured lines across the screen. Went in to the Apple store, was told to come back with a genius appointment, so fingers crossed it's all sorted by this afternoon when I go back :).

Sounds good :) Glad to hear it's looking like you might be getting a new phone :) I hate dead pixels - Once I've seen it I can't look anywhere else :p

The Apple Genius man said he would have replaced it just with the one dead pixel :), however my iPhone 5 was completely fubared by that point, so I got a nice new replacement.

Can not really speak highly of the Apple customer service, within a few hours of the iPhone being unusable I had a new replacement. Everyone in the store was nice, friendly and helpful. I don't often visit the local store so it was a very pleasant surprise, there were quite a few people in there having little lessons and one on ones too :).

They should never break for the price you pay. My boss told me the other day they and their partner got some galaxcy thing each and it was 1400 total. I thought what drugs are you smoking ?

I had a single dead pixel on my phone, was stuck green near the centre. Booked appointment and had a replacement in 5 minutes no problems whatsoever.

Went to a pub round the corner and took my macbook out to do a restore and lightning cable was playing up and intermittently disconnecting. Went back to the store (without an appointment) and when I tried showing them the issue it worked fine. They still just gave me a new cable on the spot and told me to keep the old one.

Really can not fault them for the customer service!

I lost my iPhone 4s yesterday and then realised it was on our drive, front screen cracked bad. Got the screen replaced today and guy told me that the camera app wasn't working when I gave him the phone (I didn't check so can't confirm), with that said, now it won't work. Front camera works fine.

:/

EDIT: Update, bought a camera off the bay, it fixed and it auto focuses. Not bad for £4.

Galaxy isn't Apple. What drugs are you smoking? ;)

Probably silly to reply to a one month old post, but...

Things break. There isn't ever a "they will never break because they're expensive". Things go wrong. No product has, or will ever have, a 100% success rate.

Aeroplanes are expensive too. Does this mean that they should never break either? Because they do, unfortunately.

I don't have an iPhone, am Android, but my friend has one and the power button is verrrrrry temperamental. Sometimes works, most of the time pressing it does nothing. I just think the build quality on Apple devices is becoming a bit... crap.
