Dead pixel - what to do?

Hello,

Absolutely gutted to see my nice new shiney Viewsonic VA1912w get a dead pixel this morning. What can i do about it? Do i need to contact Viewsonic, or OCUK (where i bought it from)?

It is a sub pixel, its red on the darker colours. On white it cant be seen. So can i still call Viewsonic?

Or does anyone know where that software is? cos i cant seem to find anything

If you ever get a dead sub-pixel, my advise is to.... 'massage' it!

Seriously, i was on another LCD tester page and the advise was simply to 'massage the pixel' - so i thought, its worth a shot...

It worked first time, literally, a gentle poke and slight wipe with the end of the finger and its all gone!
