Just got a Cibox 19" LCD monitor, installed it and for £124 P&P im very VERY impressed, so crisp and clear its incredible. Only thing is, there is a dead pixel (bright green) on the right hand side. Just wondering what your views are if you just bought a new screen and had one, would you be under the impression "ffs just got this, gonna send it back" or "its not that noticable, ill live with it". I just dont know if i can be arsed with sending it back and getting a new one...The only time ive notcied it majorly is when theres a completely black screen and obvously it shows up big time...Anyway, ye, very impressed overall just that one thing. OH and also for anyone who was reading about the posts where my CRT montior wasnt starting up with my new ATi card, this new monitor has it all sorted now! :D

ahh so its called a stuck pixol. Thanks for that link m8. Didnt know that over time they generally sort themselves out, thats pretty cool. Ive also ran the js screen fix for about 40 mins, still there, ill try running it over night. And if that dosent work using the cloth method.

tried everything now, couple of pixel testing things, rubbing the screen gently...nothing seems to kick it into life...oh well probably just have to send it back.

I think it's 50/50 if those things work or not. I've had one stuck for ages. Won't budge. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes not. One thing for sure though, anyone I've seen who HAS had success with these things has let them run for a long time. It won't happen in a few hours. Leave it running on your screen for a week! :D
