Dead pixel

I think I have a dead pixel on my rMBP. However i've never had one before!

Can anyone confirm its dead if it just shines white when it should be black?

Well, it would appear to be malfunctioning at least.

Use JScreenFix to help confirm and attempt to fix it.

Sounds like a 'bright pixel' rather than a 'dead pixel'. Would take it into an Apple store and hope they swap it out.

I'd just take it to the Apple Store, They're generally pretty good with this and will (probably) just swap it out there and then.

John Lewis are unlikely to swap it out and will have to refer back and forth to Apple.

I called them and thats pretty much whats happened. Either take it to JL and they will repair it, or go to apple which i guess would be a straight swap.
