Hi i wondering if asus repair my monitor with about 8-9 dead pixels, On there web site they say they wont replace or repair monitors with 3-5 pixels dead.

8-9 is outside the "tolerance" range according to the ISO standards used by monitor manufacturers. If it's new just RMA it to the retailer instead of dealing with a potentially lengthy wait for a warranty repair.

Under EU law, a flat panel is not deemed fualty unless more than 0.0005% of the pixels are dead.

This means both the retailer and manufacturer can refuse to do anything for you, even if you have several bright pixels in the centre of your screen.

Although 0.0005% sounds a small amount. It equates to:

1440x900 = 6 or 7 dead/stuck pixels (6.48)

So with 8 you should be entitled to a replacment.
