Dead Pixels how likely

Having never had a dead pixel in any monitor I've owned in the last 20 years, how likely will it be if I buy a 27", 144hz, G-Sync model today?

Haven't bought a new monitor in 12 years!

Dead ones aren't that common in my experience. Stuck ones more so, and dirt/dust under the panel. Not that this helps your situation I know lol! Buying a new monitor is very much a lottery. Just make sure you buy from a retailer with a very friendly no quibble return policy.

As above. I waited a very long time before I bought one due to the lottery. I'm not a gambler and a monitor purchase felt like one.

Make sure you buy from Amazon or perhaps here (I think OcUk do some gaurentee on certain monitors). I bought my Asus from OCuk and thankfully all was good.

Don't buy from exxx or exxxxx.
