Dead pixels??

Hi guys a black line has just appeared across my screen and won't go away after restarting etc. Its a brand new acer aspire 4820t laptop bought just before new

year. I tried to take a sceenshot of it but when i pasted it into paint the line wasn't there im guessing this is a hardware fault and i should return it

to the shop??

I bought this from the guys with the purple shirts should they replace it for me or do i need to send it back to acer??
