Dead pixels?

Hi,

Got a bit of a problem i'm slightly worried about... I've had my Samsung S23A700D for a bit over a month, bought from OcUK because of Zero dead pixel guarantee, and it arrived perfectly and has been perfect up until today.

However just now i noticed 2 dots appear, thought it was water (from where i've no idea) but wouldn't rub off, noticed it changed colour as i moved my head.

They're pixel in size, persistent through unplugging and replugging the monitor, changed resolution and refresh rate and they stay. As i was messing around i noticed 2 or 3 more appear... now i'm ok with certain things such as fan noise or untidy cables with my PC, but permenant little flecks just annoy me insanely.

Brightness has only been about 39, and its only on a few hours a day, never left on 24/7.

So i guess my question:

1. Do they sound like dead pixels (Colour alters as i move my head?) (Loads appearing at once?) or stuck pixels (If the later can i fix?)
2. Am i able to to get it fixed? Are dead pixels covered? I've not got the invoice stuck to the box when i got it (if i had one... kept every other one) but i had enough information, email confirmations order numbers serial number etc, for the samsung VAT back deal.

Halp basically :(, thanks.

EDIT: 6 of them atm, all down the left side :( Best seen on a white background...

EDIT2: Hmm.. noticed a number of them, most of which were probably actually there since i got it but i'd not noticed, and one is new and i've been looking for them? Maybe not... i did check when i first got it with a cursory glance...
Best way i can describe them is dead pixels.. however i always thought a dead pixel was one static colour, this is basically a black dot, but when i move to a direct view it turns green.... i guess i'm not noticing a lot of them... and its mainly 1 or 2 that annoy me, but its more knowing they're there (anecdotal: i can't sleep with a flashing light in my room, whether i can see it or not, because i know its there [unplug Ethernet cable every night]).... What i generally want to know is are dead pixels covered by warranty? if not i can live with them as they are now, but if they continue to pop up (I'm sure more did as i was looking for them earlier), it would be rather intolerable...

I always use Dead Pixel Tester on a new monitor. Try it on yours as it may help you to describe the problem to Tech. Support.

As its over a month old OcUK will probably tell you to contact Samsung. All I can say is good luck.........

iirc screen manufacturers are allowed 5 dead/stuck subpixels per 1 million pixels, so if you have 6, depending on the resolution of the monitor, you could rma ur monitor as its a 'defective' screen

Meeeh i've found a number of the little blighters with the tool... kind of annoying :(... Thanks for help guys
