I recently bought this OCZ PSU for a friends computer, he's had it for about 2 months and now when he tried to turn on the computer nothing happens.

I've had a look over at OCZ forums and found THIS about "Jump Starting" the power supply, Tried that but still nothing.

I've also tried it in anther PC (Still wouldn't start), I tried another PSU in his computer and it booted up so it's definitely his PSU.

RMA time ? or is there anything else i could try ?

*Also if it's RMA would I return it to OC and it's under a year old ?

Appreciate any help.

If wiring green to black doesn't start the fan, odds on the fuse in the power supply is dead. That's not replaceable without voiding warranty (probably).

Yep, rma it to ocz. They're based in the Netherlands. I'd suggest going to their forums, saying you need to rma the supply (list tests). Then mention that royal mail wants 30 quid postage which seems a bit steep, could they collect it please? There's cheaper ways to ship it, but post office standard air mail will want 30 quid off you.

And they'll be fine with it. I reckon under a week turn around, OCZ are good at rma's. He'll probably get the same supply back, if you kick up a bit of a fuss about losing faith in the range as it died after two months they stand a reasonable chance of sending you out a better one.

As it's just over 2 months old, would i able to RMA it to Overclockers ? as the postage to the NL is a tad expensive.

edit : I'll send a webnote to find out.
