Just gone to turn my computer on, and its totally dead, no lights, nothing. I suspect the PSU, as I have a usb joystick I usually plug in, that lights up even when the computer is off, and there no lights! Made sure it was turned on at the back, and tried a new lead.
It was working fine yesterday. PSU is a corsair 650. I have heard about a 'paper clip test'?
Whassat then, and is it safe?
And if its dead, recommend a suitable replacement please, system in sig. Not a crazy price either.

OK scratch that, psu is working with the paperclip! Could it be the on/off switch? Its an old case.
I'm hoping its not the mobo...

You can emulate the case switch by touching a small flat headed screwdriver against the power button pins on the header.

OK tried that, no go. Starting to look like the mobo. Any idea what the turnaround is? Its only 6 months old :(

Just tried the CMOS, no dice! So:
Tried another lead
Paper clip trick on the PSU
Reset CMOS
Tested the switch
Dead mobo?
Also, the mobo is 6 months old. Better to RMA to OCUK or Gigabyte?
