GF's PC doesn't power on at all, worked fine 2 days ago. 1.5yr old BeQuiet psu that has had a very easy life.

Have tried:
-changing kettle lead in case fuse was blown
-jumping PSU in case the power button was dead.

both cases, the same no signs of life (yes yes it was plugged in).

Am I right in assuming this is a dead PSU? Or am I missing something else I should check before posting off a heavy PSU?

Assuming by 'jumping PSU' you mean you tried shorting out the green and black wire on the ATX connector, then yes - dead PSU

Yep, that is what I meant. Thanks just wanted to double check as it's been a while since I've had any PSU issues and I was surprised that a BeQuiet PSU would just die when it has barely seen any load over its entire lifespan. Despite having a 2500k and a 5850 in it, my gf just uses it for browsing and coursework and maybe 5-6hrs per week!

I've known a psu to fail purely by taking out the psu lead to use in something else briefly then pop the lead back in , and dead psu. It happens regardless of age.
