Is it normal to fail the main story on your first playthrough i can for the life of me not beat the twin sisters, the big guy with the chainsaw in the chappel, the italian chef, plus other psychopaths. i managed the mail man ok but the rest seem bloody hard.

i'm on day 4 and level 16 once i complete the game will i be able to play through again using the stuff i acquired on my first play through kinda like resident evil

yes is the simple answer. it's designed for multiple playthroughs like the first game with multiple endings depending on how you do in the game. you keep your level and skills as you replay so you end up being better equipped to deal with the bad guys.

to be honest i've given up on the story line for now, just running round killing zombies for fun.... i even let the wife gain PP for me since as she aint to good at games!

I just think i'd have more fun if i had most of the unlocks while playing the game...

for the record the sword kicks ***

i also just read if i restart story i keep all my stuff is it definitely the same if i complete the game where i can restart with all my stuff aswell.

don't think i'll ever be able to save everyone seems like to much of a rush

Nin9abadga is spot on. Yes the boss's are very hard on your first run through the game, the same was for DR1. It took me about 8 tries to beat the sisters (hot!) as I didn't know that I had to kill only one of them. When I eventually beat them, I got destroyed by the nutter in the chapel.

I've just finished playing the game for a second time, and with my Lv50 char you can pretty much go toe to toe with virtually every boss.

One good idea is to mix a cocktail up, I think it is 2x Beers that grant you health resistance. Then combine Boxing gloves & a Bowie knife, which grants you a rather powerful combo weapon for bosses.

At any time you can simply die, and restart the story, with the bonus that your character is carried over with his levels intact. So you can never get completely stuck in the game.

IIRC to beat the Italian chef you need a weapon with a knockdown (defiler). The defiler kills pretty much everything come to think of it. Also, near where the sisters are you can find a machine gun on top of the statue you in middle of the slots area.

Its so easy all you have to do is grind until you getup to lvl 50 then the boss fights become much easier especially if you use combo weapons (which also give you extra PP along with certain books in your inventory you can earn 1000's PP per minute on kills.

Just read a guide somewhere for the 360 versions is an identical game (apart from the PC having superior graphics/FPS).

The genius of this game design is you can play in so many ways then quit & save your progress which preserves the PP & Stats of Chuck.

This game is very easy once you get to lvl 50 but before then some bosses can be hard to almost impossible to beat on the lower lvls.

yeah when i played I got so bored having to buy zombrex for that little girl I just let her turn and got on with just hack n slash lol

Yes.

It wasn't until my second playthrough that I managed to beat all the bosses and by that time, most of my skills/specials were almost maxed out therefore was considerably easier.

I found the game pretty easy even at lower level, i think i almost 100% the game on my first playthrough, missed out some secret survivors.

Game is pretty good though, need to play through it again.
