Dead Rising.......2!!

Dunno, they seem to say it's new - I've certainly never seen it before.

A few people in the comments have said the same thing though so you may be on to something! Came out in April apparently so yeah, old trailer :p

Oh well, was new to me!

Brilliant news!!

Agreed about the save system, it can frustrate at first but then you appreciate what it brings to the game. Too many games bore me as they offer no challenge as you can save at will.... where's the fun in that??

Easily one of the best games on the 360, nah infact any system :)

Can't believe theres gonna be a multiplayer mode... why does every game have to ******* include this :(.

I wasn't aware there was going to be a multi-player mode, I thought that was quashed by a Blue Castle employee as what she had said was taken out of context.

Unless I have missed some news about the game.

Edit: looks like I am wrong. Can't say either mode interests me at all, I shall just stick with the single player experience. I wouldn't be surpirsed if it's chargeable DLC to be honest either. :p

Multiplayer

Speaking at CAPTIVATE '09, Keiji Inafune confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will include multiplayer, but refused to state what the mode would entail. "We’re at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game. Single-player alone is not going to cut it. So rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game, but I can’t go into specifics about what type of multiplayer as that directly relates to some of the game systems that we don’t want to talk about at this event. It will be online multiplayer, so keep that in mind."[10]

During the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, Capcom revealed that the multiplayer of Dead Rising 2 will take the form of a reality TV show called "Terror is Reality" in which players will act as contestants in a fictitious gameshow. Up to four players are available in multiplayer, where they compete against each other for the most kills inside an arena full of undead. Players will be able to use weapons and vehicles including human-sized hamster balls and chainsaw-equipped motorcycles. They also will be able to prevent other players from scoring by using various forms of "dirty" tactics.[3] The multiplayer mode has been compared to the television show American Gladiators.[11]

It will detract the devs from focusing on the main game's aspects. Oh and the achievements will be probably more focused on multiplayer rubbish.

This. A great single player experience dosn't automatically equate to a good multiplayer one. If I want to play a multiplayer game I'd choose to play a game dedicated to that kind of play.

The thing that annoyed me most about the original game was the aiming system when you needed guns, just couldnt get the hang of it and ended up getting frustrated killing the bosses.

On the plus side though Frank was just a jornalist, he wasn't meant to be some hot shot millitary man. I thought the use of guns was about right in that game (in balance with all the mall items). It took a bit of time getting use to the pistol but by the time the military came I had no problem using the Assault Guns :).

Well by the looks of it the multiplayer is a totally seperate game mode, so it's fine. :p
