Really tempted with this, but the price is steep. I also cant seem it on my windows store yet.....which is a good thing in the sense that I cant click that pre-order button!
MS removed it from the Play Anywhere title list (as its no longer exclusive to MS platforms) which also removed it from the Windows Store so that means it will not appear on there until launch day...no 50GB preload for the PC peasants as the fully (un) featured!! Win 10 store does not even support preloading unless its a Play Anywhere title.
Also several US XB1 players got the disc version early the reports are not positive:
Timer removed (this was already known about) takes a lot of tension away.
Boss intros removed it now treats all bosses like any regular zombie you just fight them without any context like the previous games gave you amusing video intros.
Regenerating health (this was also known about but it once again removes any tension its hard to ever get killed now).
Easier than ever to lvl up & capped @ lvl 80.
Overall the impression they report is the game has been dumbed down for casual players but those steps have also removed a lot of the series gameplay mechanics & made it seem like a very pretty but shallow game for casual younger players.
Not sure its worth risking £49.99 or £65.99 for that (half of the DLC is a 4 player co-op golf course you use weapons to shoot the ball around the course!). At least MS do a hassle free refund though if you buy & do not like even if its several days later they still refund without question most of the time even if you have completed the game
Capcom really sold out here as most players who are fans of the series would probably like to play on Win 7 + Steam but must either wait 90 days or even longer (Dead Rising 3 took 10 months to arrive after XB1 release) as its hard to imagine they would release a Steam version in the spring\summer of a snowbound xmas themed game
