Going to Bluewater in a bit...got some vouchers to use. Is Dead Rising a must have? Have they patched/sorted the save game system that i remember reading about on here?

Anything better worth getting? Marvel game maybe?

Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with the save system, it is just different to how other games work. The main problem, is it isn't explained well enough. I personally don't think it is a must have, but it is very good, and quite unique.

Easily the best game i have played on the 360 to date, i haven't been able to put the thing down for over a week and can still see loads more in it, i have rented it but its the only game that i have rented that i wish i had bought!!

My 3rd best 360 game. Don't worry about the save system, its there for a reason and you'll know why when you become more experienced with the game. It's an awesome game, hugely enjoyable with brilliant sound+visuals and boobehz!

It's a fantastic game, it really is.
I love the Save system, it's nice to play a traditional save system rather than saving every 3 minutes.

This was the game that I got my 360 for so it's a personal favourite of mine. Definitely worth it.

These nothing wrong at all with the save system, it's similar to Resident Evil (Without the need for typewrite inks) where you can only save in the toilets/security office. These a toilet in every part of the mall except for the food court so it's not difficult getting to one.

Dead rising..where to start......yer, it REALLY IS that good....and better. So fresh original and playable. tbh, think im going to go through it all again (been through about 5 times now at least and always find now places and weapons.) Easily one of the best games i have played. On a side note, it also has some ncie original achievements too, that keep your play focused.

i find it a chore to play, maybe cos i started off doing the storyline and not a very high level making it very difficult :(

Ill eventually put it back in the drive and play it

I think I hit the same problem. The game needs to be played in a very different way to most games out there.

I guess to force re-playability.

Thats the whole point of it all. To stop people from dumping the game once they've finished everything in one boring sitting. I've replayed the game over 10 times now and not once have I felt any repetitiveness because I'm free to do whatever I wish. I can choose to ignore certain scoops if I want, or bypass the whole storyline altogether and just go on a mental killing spree.

Let's be fair though, after 10minutes i felt the game repeating.

I kill Zombies.....yay

I gave up when I got to the boss, I was about level 33 and he took hardly any damage from my lariat moves, spinny around with the arms flailing move, drop kicks, he just either blocked them, or counterd them.

And I got bored.

I don't want to spend hours and hours killing zombies again just to get to a high enough level to kill him.

Totally. The game's like marmite, you'll love it or really not get it.

I loved Romeros Dawn of the Dead so I loved the idea of this game. I got nervous the closer we got to release but my god, it's good.

It's nice to see a genuine attempt at something new. It's a bit of everything, action, rpg, strategy, even arcade, has a truly great story line (well to me anyway).

When you realise it's meant to be played repeatedly (we're so conditioned to play games ONCE these days) in different ways you suddenly just get it. (or you don't... hence the people who haven't liked it).

What I would say, if the idea of it excites you, go down right now and buy it, you'll love it. If you're, humm, need a new game, zombies .. whatever, makesure you try the demo first, it may not be your cup of tea.

So true. The issue I think lies in the way the game break so many traditions. It is highly original in a lot of ways, but as a result, some people love it others find it awkward and stressful.

The good side is, it's unique. Something different. I think the jaded gamer likes it the most.
