IIRC you can wiggle the analog sticks or mash some buttons... might be best waiting for somebody who has played this recently!

Shake the stick and press any buttons it tells you to, it should have popped up with a message saying what to do the first time you got grabbed. (If you haven't turned tutorial instructions off)

yeh, same goes for stranded peeps. i usually don't bother saving them, infact, the first time i played it through. i didnt even save the old woman and bloke just out the hatch. i think i mauled them with a baseball bat.
save them though, they are good points for levelling up!

How so? I quite liked the fact that it was fairly open and you can do what you like. Don't bother with the story, should be easy enough to go around and trash the zombies. Once you start learning skills and you can hold more items and health then it's even easier.

Only really need to pay attention to that when you're going for the helicopter 3 days later or if you're doing the main storyline.
It's nicht so gut every night when the zombies gain their enhanced strength though...
