My old faithful media serving pc gave up late last night after being on 24/7 since about 2003, no reaction at all when I try to power it up. Conveniently, I just had a big clear out, and no-longer have all the boxes of spare parts I'd usually fall back on to diagnose+fix the problem
I've had a search, but all the other PSU threads seem to be offering advice for much newer PCs, not my ageing beast - I'm not even sure its compatible with current PSUs, so thought I should ask for advice.
case - Chieftec Dragon
mobo - Epox EP-9NDA3+
ram - 2x1gb
cpu - no clue !
gfx - Radeon 9800 ?
other - 5x IDE HDs, DVD writer
The old PSU was an Antec 480w TrueBlue, I'm hoping its the only part thats actually dead.
I'm not sure whether I should just replace the PSU, or take it as a sign that my server needs upgrading.
