hi there

im at work and have been asked to make an email signature picture using rotating images of our latest products

i was thinking of using a gif creator [any advice on a good free one with no logos on the images]

or any other software i should consider using [free is best really as i only want to experiment]

I don't know of any free gif animator programs, but I think it needs saying that having an animated gif as a signature is a bad idea.

First off, not all email programs will animate the gifs, so people viewing in those clients will only see the first frame of the animation.
Secondly, they look gash.
Thirdly, people don't appreciate having to download a 20k+ image every time you decide to email them.
Fourthly, it doesn't look professional. At all. Ever. If you must have an image sig, just make it a link to a page of your website which lists your products. That way if people are interested they'll click and have a far better opinion of the company rather than having everything jammed down theire throat.

i know they look gash
thats my argument too dude

but the boss is going on about it like its the holy grail of emails or something
would an image with embedded hyperlink be the way to go then?

snapfiles.com should have some freeware gif creation apps.

I've had many a boss in the past who once they say they want something done, you just have to get on and do it.

Sorry if my reply was a bit forceful - I just re-read it to myself :)

Yeah I know what you mean if your boss/client wants something done, more often that not you have to do it, but I think it may still be worth suggesting that a image with a hyperlink would be better for the reasons I mentioned above.
