Dead Space 2 £3.75 on Steam

Title says it all really The first one is on this weekend for £2.50 or you can get both for a measly £6.24 bargintastic

Can highly recommend the first one, superb game in every way. Great atmosphere and audio, the characters/voice acting are good overall and the game does a superb job of conveying a sense of isolation and dread.

DS2 was mostly a disappointment for me, because it had none of those things. Visuals were better and there was more action, but the creepy ambience was gone and the characters (including Isaac himself) are annoying.

Still, might as well get both at this price and see for yourself.

I was a little let down by Dead Space 2 at first but stuck with it and now I think it is as good if not better than the first

Just don't forget to turn off v-sync on dead space one or you will get major mouse lag

Dead space 1 is better with a 360 pad, Dead Space 2 has better mouse & keyboard support than the first so please yourself. Vsync off in game and forced on in your graphic cards control panel for best results

You can use an xbox pad yes.

I quite enjoyed the first one, despite the vsync issue, but I was waiting for the second to drop in price. £3.75 sounds like a good price to me!

In what way? I thought DS1 Characters was annoying seeing as Issac was that woman Bitch, and the end was annoying.

Story not as good in the second as the first but the controls are more refined so that's a bonus.

I felt that in DS1 Kendra and Hammond were at least trying to be helpful, in DS2 Isaac swears like a disgruntled office worker, the crazy guy is...well, crazy and the English woman is an annoyance.

First one needs a pad to be playable (unless they fixed the horrendous mouse controls?). Still, good console port.
