Dead Space 2 bosses?

I recently read that the end of each dead space 2 level has a boss fight.
This worries me. I consider boss fights to fall into two types which I'll describe below - one I like, one I hate. Can someone who has played tell me which kind of boss fight DS2 uses, without spoilers!!!

Type one: opponents which are tougher than normal, and may or may need a trick to kill, but which don't limit your options:
In DS1, the regenerating monster you meet twice, and have to kill in a specific way (the cryopod, and shuttle engine). But while you fight it, and other monsters, you have full access to all your usual abilities - blowing its limbs off, using stasis, grabbing things with kinesis, running around freely, etc.

Type two: fights which limit your movement, cut down the things you can do, and often require you to hit keys in an entirely arbitrary manner, often in some sort of timed sequence you have to get EXACTLY right over and over again. Games like Devil May Cry and Darksiders use these kinds of bosses a lot.
The boss fight at the end of DS1 was kind of like this, though not as bad - you couldn't leave the room and you were effectively cut down to just left and right movements (a platform game!). You had to avoid those smashing tentacles, which was a repeatable pattern you could learn easily and just time your actions. You had to shoot specific points on the enemy and all your other shots were wasted. Each of these things on its own isn't too bad - put them all together and you create the kind of boss fight I usually find tedious.

Does DS2 use a mix of types, is it predominately type 1, or type 2?
