Hey guys is it possible to tweak the weapons in Dead Space like we did in Doom III?

The latter game had config files that you just fired up in Notepad and tweak away increasing fire-rate, reload time, range etc. Is it possible to do something similar in Dead Space?

Thanks for any info :D

Hee hee yea I know about those. I was on about *manually* fiddling with the weapon files in Notepad and changing the values etc.

Y'know stuff like (I made these up but they illlustrate my point):

plasma_impact_power=8
flashlight_beam_range=45

If you can make head or tails of it when it opens you may be able to tweak..

Don't really see why you'd need to, it's not like the game is hard.

The game is not hard. Its just that I enjoy tweaking such files as much as playing the game.

That was the brilliant thing about Far Cry (the first one) and Doom III. You could really get stuck into weapon-tweaking.

A favorite was reducing the spin-up time of the Gatling in Doom III and adding mods like a flashlight to guns that didnt have them. You could then make that flashlight more powerful/adjust the beam-spread etc. All through Notepad.
