It had poor sales because YOU RUINED IT.

Dead Space was a masterpiece, then they made the sequels all action run and gun with micro transactions out the wazoo and zero atmosphere.

Excellent work EA.

I enjoyed all three game, and the third's Co-op was great, would be a shame if they have cancelled because the next game was due to be on the Frostbite engine.

I've played all 3 and the third was a let down for me, shame to see a series cancelled though.

They shouldn't have even made a sequel let alone a third, the first was fantastic and should have been left alone.

I love the first one to, the 2nd was ok I thought and had its moments.

I will pick the 3rd one up eventually.

With FIFA13, DS3 and RR3, Im pretty much determined to avoid any EA product in the future. Theyve out-activisioned Activision...

ps3ud0

I loved the first one, and actually quite enjoyed the 2nd too....will probably give the current one a whirl, but (p)reviews etc. have pushed it down my 'wanted' list a little.

Nice one, EA :(

Yeah i would agree, the first game was amazing, 2nd i got bored far to quickly and never finished it, and the 3rd didnt even interest me which is a shame.

I'm afraid as soon as Dead Space 3 started and you were armed with a gun and shooting human enemies, I immediately just went "meh". Then I found the new gun crafting system too complicated for my tiny mind. So that was another "meh".

So is this the future then for next gen? Every time a new IP doesn’t do as well AS THEY EXPECTED, they will drop it and continue making the same yearly BS?!?!?

Since when has it not been like that

Every publisher has it's staples that are guaranteed to bring in money then they take a risk on new IP's in the hope they'll become big successes.

A game doesn't need a massive budget to be a success, especially a horror game. If they lowered their budget a bit they wouldn't need to sell so many to break even.
