Just started playing this but the mouse feels weird, like it's lagging a bit. It makes it hard to be accurate (which is quite important when you need to shoot at limbs).

Is there a way to improve this or am I forced to use my 360 pad?

If you are using the in game vysnc turn that off and force it through your gfx card, that should make it feel a bit better. But it still feels a bit dodgy, just have to persevere its a pretty good game.

You can also increase the mouse sensitivity way beyond what the menus can do by editing the game ini file. However it does make the mouse cursor in the menus very skittish and difficult to control if you do that.

Yeah, turned Vsync off and whacked the sensitivity up to maximum. Problem solved - I just use the keyboard in menus.

I didn't really want to use the pad - I bought it more for things like NFS and Assassin's Creed than this. But Mouse and Keyboard are fine now.

So, moving on, i'm about four chapters in. Pretty damn good game this, regretting not picking up both this and DS2 when they were cheap. Anyone got any tips for the game? What weapons are worth bothering with? What about upgrades, and things at the shops?

Thanks.

Definitely play right up close with all of the lights off, if you have a good headset it will be amazing

I probably used the Plasma Cutter all through the game tbh. Didn't bother with stasis/oxygen upgrades as i never had to use them either

I've just started playing through this myself and am absolutely loving it! :D

Agree with suggestion about 360 controller, it's totally what this game was designed for.

With regards to upgrades, I think it should be a personal choice depending on how you play the game yourself. I've mainly focused on the Grinder, Plasma Cutter, RIG and Suit. You may find other weapons/abilities suit you.

I'm playing through on the 360 at the moment, and frankly I haven't found a reason to use any weapon other than the plasma cutter. I just keep upgrading it and I'm a death machine.

Turning vsync off fixes it but now force it on for musty that game using your graphics drivers and it will work fine without the lag

Leave vsync on and use the 360 pad.

Turning vsync off will improve your FPS and reduce the mouse lag but due to the nature of the game and a lot of flashing lights, the tearing is terrible.

I feel the game plays far better with the pad any way.

This thread finally motivated me to stop being a girl and play without turning it off after 10 minutes. So glad I did! Turning vsync off in game and forcing it through drivers worked a treat for the lag. I'm playing it with the 360 pad as I'm in a couch gaming mood at the minute. Awesome game.

Onto Chapter 7 now, really enjoying it.

I've only got the plasma cutter and the assault rifle thingy, and i've not struggled to kill anything. What's the point of the other weapons then?

I'm just starting chapter 7 and I haven't even bought any other weapons apart from the cutter. I just spent my power thingies on upgrades for that and it's been pretty plain sailing so far.
