Dead Xbox 360 hard drive replacement Help !

You need a valid security sector on the HDD for it to work with your 360.

These are available on the net, but you will need to research it and then program it.
 
Thanks for the reply norm. Have you done this yourself ?

Ive been reading about the disk validation system and as i understand it i need to use the firmware data from my old drive and flash the new drive with this, so anything over the standard 20gig of my old drive would be unusable, Is this correct ?
