Bought DS3 yesterday in the humble origin sale, Went to start it and it gets as far as the loading screen and just sits there, I have tried a repair install and that did nothing.

I don't have any OSD software running and have trawled through other forums, This doesn't happen with any other game.

Any info would be much appreciated :)

I wouldn't worry, means you don't have to play Deadspace 3 and experience how ****ing terrible it is.

I would like to play it though, Still not working, This is actually the only game out of all of my games that just refuses to work.

If anyone has any info or ideas please share :)

Latest drivers (especially for GPU)?
Full windows updates?
Assuming Windows 7?
M.

Yeah I've tried with official drivers, Betas, Tweaked, Windows 7 is fully up to date, Soundcard has latest drivers, Motherboard is up to date, SSD has the latest firmware.
Really annoyes me as every game I have works and I have a lot of games, Just this has problems :(

dicehunter: let me try DS3 from humble now.

it works normally.

wasn't there a DLC released for DS3?

I had problems with DS3 freezing +crashing then found out if you unclick Enable Origin In Games go to : Origin /Application Settings / Enable Origin In Games

Hope this Helps

Did everything, Un-checked "Enable Origin In Games", Updated drivers to beta and then to WHQL, Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Did a repair, Had no OSD software running as this can mess with it and still nothing, Bugs me as every game I have works but not thiis

I think this is fate telling me to not play DS3.

A lot of people have found that unplugging or disabling USB game controllers fixes the issue. I had the same problem until I disconnected my Joystick after which the game worked fine.

After finally getting it to download, game will run fine then suddenly lose sound and control input. Its like windows has shifted focus to something else but the game is still full screen and wont minimize no matter what I do, even if I try to open taskmanager

I had issues with my wireless xbox controller plugged in, switched to wired and worked fine. Mine would freeze about 2-3mins in game with wireless. When you get it running make sure to disable Vsync in iingame settings and enable vsync in NVidia control panel to run at 60fps, game runs butterly smooth even on lower end hardware.

Also try removing sound card, as I know they sometime can cause issues.

lol I thoroughly enjoyed DS3, finished it last week. Started off a bit slow but got very enjoyable a few hours in!! Each to their own I guess.

Your persistence is admirable, I'd have given up after a day never mind 2 months :p

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?
Tried turning off any antivirus programs in case something is getting blocked?

The fact you tried it on another computer and it's doing the same thing is strange though.

I've contacted EA customer services and I got 1 gentleman telling me to update my browser, Another telling me to upgrade my graphics card and/or drivers and the 3rd one when I phoned I couldn't understand and hung up on me when I said "I'm sorry sir but I can't fully understand you"
I think it's a sign lol :p

i had lots of problems with this game, early on.i found out that the only way it would run was if my graphics card was running at stock speeds!! mad but it worked for me
