So I've been working in this job since July and I finally feel like I'm finding my feet, I've dealt with the majority of situations so I now know how to handle them e.g. what to do when the lift breaks down.
However, 1 of the guys I work with felt it necessary to report me to the boss because I ****ed up on one thing, now I'm dreading what my boss is gonna say to me about it. Basically, I work security at a call centre and we have a girl who manages the gym, she was off and got cover in freely admitting that the people they get to cover are ****.
Anyway, the cover turned up and signed in as usual, but it wasn't until after the gym manager got back she noticed they'd signed their names but not the times the start or finished. I admitted it was my fault for not checking and I said it wouldn't happen again (now I'm checking every time we get a visitor)
But one of the guards felt it necessary to let my boss know. Now this gaurd, at first seemed nice, but I was warned by the night guards to watch myself. Whenever he ****s up I just tell him, because it's minor stuff, I do 1 thing wrong and he throws me under the bus, problem is, he's been getting complaints ever since I started but I never took it further because technically he's doing his job properly.
He's a real kiss ass though, everything must be done by the book, no exceptions. Hopefully I won't be in this job much longer and I can tell him what I really think.
So what should I do? Should I throw him under the bus too?
What makes it worse is I found the email that he sent my boss and it's complete lies just to make himself look better
