sometime in the build I clearerd my cmos with the jumper...I just didnt put it back, so obviously I (thought) I was clearing it and putting it back I was doing it completely the wrong way round

We've all done stuff like this and then kicked ourselves afterwards mate it's all part of the joy and pains of computer building, whether you're a noob or a grizzled vet.

Glad you got it sorted, and hope the PSU replacement is ok.

Thanks Ive managed to cool myself down after 48 hours of building and installing and buzzing hell.

Ordered a 700w tagan from good ole OcUk today, should arrive tommz.

I know enermax are like the 'rolls royce' of psu's but I got stuck with a reliant robin and I have a bitter Enermax taste in my mouth.

Well for the actual 3 minutes I got to play Cod 2 it looked and ran superbly.
Double Agent looked like I was on acid, green and pink walls and sam looked like he just imploded.

Nice one dude, I got the OCZ GameXtream 700w and it's rock, rock solid. The Tagan should do wonders for you... Enermax aren't the best PSU's out at all, though they're definately a top ranker. Good luck with everything, be sure to post benchies when it's done with that 8800 you lucky sod.

Actually, when I ran cod 2 for 5 mins I put the fps counter on, settings highest they can go and the fps was anywhere between 60 and 175 fps, I wasnt really impressed with such an old game dropping to 60fps with this new rig/card to be honest.

Thanks OcUk it arrived today and so far its been plain sailing.

but small problemo, the pci connecter cables on the tagan are friggin huge and bulky combined with the width of the gtx I cant get my case side on properly, lol, its kinda half off.
