Would an inverted case like that make any difference in cooling / airflow etc? Basically, what could be the pro's and con's of an inverted case?
 
i just like being able to see the pretty side of the graphics card if im honest, bit rubbish only seeing the pcb, didnt really think about the cooling aspect

Yes, I have one. I have noticed a drop in GPU temp as that is now at the top of the case with the fan blowing the hot air straight out the top vent. The CPU is also slightly cooler as I have 2 intake fans and one exhaust fan all lined up with the CPU heatsink fan so the air is going in a straight line picking up the warm air from the CPU on its way out the case.

Yes I know my cable management could be better.

Correct on both counts. That shot obviously doesn't show the side panel with two 140mm fan openings either, there is a lot of scope for airflow options in my opinion.

Thats a good point actually, I hadnt thought of that. One of the hottest things in a gaming rig is the gfx card that blows hot air downwards onto the bottom of the case instead of upwards and out the top vents. As you said, I can imagine that makes a huge difference in temps. Hmmmmmmm, interesting.
 
iv got the same mobo, and iv been lookin at the case myself for a while as its the cheaper of the inverted motherboard range, im glad you put that pic up tbh it gives me some insight into what mine would look like, as im currently on an unknown make aluminium case which iv modded to have this same inverted setup, apart from the psu is still sadly at the top
 
It was really quite easy to build in as well. Considering this was only my 3rd build ever and the first in at least 8 years it went together very easily and I only struggled a little with the cable management but that could just as easily be my lack of knowledge rather than poor case design.
