Death Adder probs...

hi guys...

having a bit of a prob with my razer death adder...

• about 30% of the time when i go into the death adder control panel, it says "no usb mouse connected" even though the mouse is moving around just fine

• the mouse doesnt work in Far Cry - i can navigate the menus with the mouse no probs but as soon as i get in-game the mouse might as well not be plugged in

i'm on the latest drivers (1.05) and firmware (1.10) and the latest far cry patch so does anyone know what might be going on?

i've only got two games on my computer command and conquer 3 and far cry, in c&c3 everything seems fine...

help please

update:

i set one of the mouse buttons to jump and that works... just cant look around for love nor money... that help with the diagnostics?

I have this problem with the copperhead, You must use the same USB slot in your pc that you used when you installed the drivers.

Or you can reinstall the drivers/utility.

grrrrr...

right... on the back of your advice i have tried the deathadder in every usb slot, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled far cry, load it up and STILL NO MOUSE!

it so infuriating what left is there to check? what on earth could the problem be?

another update: just tried an old mouse and it is exactly the same problem so it looks like a far cry problem... maybe i should move this fight to the game section...

any help still appreciated please advise if you can

ok, to put this to a close incase anyone comes across this during a search... its a problem with all mouse on the v1.4 patch of far cry... the controls need to be set at default for it to work so until next patch, i'm stuck with bloody CTRL as my crouch!
